Susan McNabb is the author of The Opposite of Famous, A Hollywood Memoir, a collection of funny essays about her three decades working as a model, commercial actor, film extra, and in various other jobs, including road manager for Elvira, Mistress of the Dark.
She also wrote "Tryon Diary," a column for the Tryon Daily Bulletin, "The World's Smallest Daily Newspaper," in which she chronicled her adjustment to small-town life in North Carolina after living in Los Angeles.
Susan grew up in Asheville, North Carolina, and received an English literature degree from the University of Tennessee before moving to L.A. to pursue modeling.
Now living in Phoenix with her husband and dogs, Susan sends in "Postcards from Phoenix" to the Tryon Daily Bulletin and spends her summers in Tryon.
