About this Book

Print Excerpt

And then I will explain why I left Hexa. I've never told anyone that, but I will be honest, completely honest. Once you know, you will understand why I won't become one of your clients, Mr. Stitic—in fact, you probably won't even want to help me anymore.

All I want in return is for you to keep quiet and leave me alone for good. No emails, no phone calls, no showing up at my door. If my former colleagues ask about me, just tell them I moved abroad, make something up, I'm sure you won't have any trouble with that.

Be aware, however, that this letter is not an official testimony. I won't be mentioning the name of the defendant at any point—you know that doing so would be a violation of my contract, I've sought advice on the subject, I'm aware of my legal position—so once again: I'm not accusing anyone of anything. I'm only telling you my story, just this once.
