Nestle Children's Book Prize ends

Jan 27 2008

Publishing News reports that the Nestlé Children's Book Prize has ended after 23 years of partnership between Nestlé and the UK reading charity Booktrust. Susan Barry, Group Marketing Director for Hachette Livre Children's Books, says, "Nestle was one of the few children's book prizes supported by retailers nationally, and it was a brand that parents recognised and responded to. The fact that children judged it meant an awful lot to the winning authors and editors too."
