A woman in Berlin (12/21/2007)
This is an extraordinary, unsentimental, beautifully written journal about Berlin at the end of the Second World War with the arrival of the Russian army

It is a factual account of the daily life of the the people, and in particular the women, and the appalling living conditions that they endured.
