In this book Zoya Phan (little daughter) shares her own story of the persecution she witnessed and lived through, as the Karen people struggled for their freedom of dictatorship in Burma. Phan shares her personal experiences in the jungle and refugee camps. She struggles to get her education and exceptionally succeeds in doing so. Phan earns a scholarship in Bangkok, and emigrates there, then to the UK where she joined the Burma Campaign UK and decides to follow in her fathers footsteps. Phan raises awareness of the struggle and persecution happening in Burma and is determined to stop it. This book inspires you, it touches your heart and gives you a wake up call to what is happening around us.
