The Fault in Our Stars
by John Green
Couldn't stop thinking about the characters (12/9/2014)
I fell in love with Hazel and Augustus, the lead characters in the book. While I was at work, in the back of my mind I was wondering what was happening with them and I couldn't wait to get back to the book.

It has been a long, long time since characters were as alive and real to me as they were.

I was one of the prime caregivers for my sister during her cancer. We were not kids; we were in our fifties. But the tone of the cancer kids in this book hit a true, authentic note.

I tried reading the book about "Alaska" by John Green and it was not enjoyable to me. I abandoned it after about four chapters. I've started the book about "Katherines" but it's too early to tell if it will click with me.

"Fault in Our Stars" is an engaging, strong book.
