Keith O'Brien focuses on five female pilots in a non fiction book that reads like fiction.

This book feels like both a historical account of aeronautics and women's history. Like in most careers, women pilots had to fight for themselves to get a foothold in the industry.

Overall an interesting read.

Sounds good, right? It is. This is a very quick and satisfying read. I recommend it for readers of historical fiction.

This book would make a fabulous movie. Think Footloose in 1958.

I did not know much of Sri Lanka before this lyrical book. Yasodhara tells the story of her loving family who want for nothing. It also tells the story of friendship and lasting ties to another person. A wonderful historical fiction read!
