Maybe in Another Life
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Why has this author not been on my list (6/9/2015)
I have never read a book by Taylor Jenkins Redi before. Now I have another author to love. I've always wondered about the idea of if you could go back and make different decisions in life. Reading about the parallel lives gave me great insight in to those choices. I couldn't quite decide which love story I wanted to win in the end. Can't wait to read her other books.
Between the Tides
by Susannah Marren
Engrossing (5/6/2015)
I really enjoyed the subject matter of this book. It just shows how men can pick up and move anywhere. Women of any age still have to deal with the whole mean girl stuff. Though I thought Lainie would have an easier time moving with her children. But, betrayal in a small community is hard to recover from. My book club will read this when it hits bookshelves soon
The Well
by Catherine Chanter
The Well (3/16/2015)
I normally don't choose books that are psychological thrillers, so I wasn't sure what to expect from this. I spent three nights engrossed in this book. What a fabulous debut novel for the author. I think after reading this I will choose other books of this genre. It was written very poetic I loved some of her choices of words. I can't wait to see what she has next for us. I'm so glad I was chosen to get this book.
Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis: The Untold Story
by Barbara Leaming
Jacquelin Bouvier Kennedy Onnassis The Untold Story (11/18/2014)
Being a native Washingtonian politics have always been front and center in my life. I was very excited to read this book as I have been fascinated with Jackie all of my life. I was very excited to get an advanced copy. I had always thought of Jackie as a very strong woman woman. Reading about her struggle with post traumatic stress syndrome was very surprising to me. While being in the public eye, her private turmoil was just not scene. I felt such compassion towards her as a widow and wife and mother. What a great book.
