Meet Me at the Museum
by Anne Youngson
Meet Me at the Museum (4/8/2018)
A wonderfully written book that I did not want to put down. Anne Youngson did a beautiful job at developing and portraying the relationship between an English woman and a Danish curator all through a series of letters. The book touches on themes of love, loss, family, and life. Highly recommend as a quick, beautiful, and meaningful read.
Motherhood
by Sheila Heti
Motherhood (2/9/2018)
A very personal, and profound book by Sheila Heti. Heti’s writing style is similar to that of stream of consciousness poetry. The book takes you on a journey rather than tells you a story. It gives you an insight into the depths of an individual’s life and their relationship with pain, sadness, doubt, their mother, boyfriend, friends, childbearing, love, and life. You are taken along the narrator’s transformation as she learns to be content with her life, her past, and her decisions.

Great read and I was able to relate to much of the content contained in the book. Heti's writing made quite the impact on me as I was reading this book.
Stay with Me
by Ayobami Adebayo
Stay With Me - Painful & Powerful (8/27/2017)
Stay With Me is a well-written story of a young couple and their struggles with infertility, cultural norms, and trust. With every page turn, there was a new shock in their lives that shook my very being. It shows the two sides of their story and how each faced the same challenges. A very sad story, but filled with many meaningful messages. One of my favorite books and I would recommend to those looking for a short, impactful read.
In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin
by Erik Larson
Captivating and insightful (7/11/2017)
In the Garden of Beasts is an easy and captivating read. Larson's writing makes it seem like you are reading a fictional story instead of historical events. I learned things about Germany and the years leading up to WWII thanks to this book. Great read and I highly recommend!
