After Annie: A Novel
by Anna Quindlen
Not bad, but (7/27/2024)
The author should have done more research on extended care facilities. There are so many people going in and out of even supposedly empty rooms, that Ann Marie 's presence would have been quickly noted. Also, where did an aquire medications? Many facilities have certified nursing assistants who dispense medications. From the description of Ann's duties, she was clearly not one of them. Believe me, missing narcotics would be noticed.
Quindlen's description of 12 step programs indicated a lack of research as well. Ann Marie described them a "rotating group of not really frinds"(I paraphrase ) Entirely untrue, the people who work these programs are the best friends one could possibly have
