Mercies in Disguise: A Story of Hope, a Family's Genetic Destiny, and the Science That Rescued Them
by Gina Kolata
Great Medical Read (11/6/2016)
I really liked this book. It was a great medical mystery type of book that didn't read like a text book. The author kept a page turning pace and it wasn't bogged down with information only a medical person could understand. I'm now interested in her book about the Flu pandemic of 1918.
Les Parisiennes: How the Women of Paris Lived, Loved, and Died Under Nazi Occupation
by Anne Sebba
Good Historical Non Fiction (7/26/2016)
I enjoyed this book. I really didn't know very much at all about Nazi regime in Paris. It got a bit bogged down in places, but overall it was a good read.
Three Many Cooks: One Mom, Two Daughters: Their Shared Stories of Food, Faith & Family
by Pam Anderson, Maggy Keet & Sharon Damelio
I loved this book! (1/30/2015)
This book was great. I loved the different stories from three different people and they are all great writers. The recipes look great and there are many I can't wait to try. After reading this book I started reading their blog and I love it. If you like family memoirs and cooking this book is for you.
