I have read most Grisham's books except for Skipping Xmas and Bleachers. I must say that I am so totally disappointed with this book.

The ending was pretty obvious chapters before it was even delivered. There were a lot of irrelevant characters and situations -- very not Grisham.

I finally finished the book (after 48 years!). It was well written. The characters are entirely believable ... so is the story. Yey for the ending.

I have just started with the book and I got pretty excited when I encountered Paulette Tullos. I know its a cheap thrill..but hey...i don't encounter Paulette's everyday (only 2 live ones to date) and for Grisham to use it impresses me to no end. Anyway, after 6 chapters..i know the best is yet to come.

Of all Grisham's books, I like this one best.

Grisham did a great job exploring the characters of Ray and Forest and their relationship. The ending was impeccable. If I were Forest, I'd do the same. Catch me if you can, Ray. >:)

I like the development of the plot. Although, I was expecting a more wicked ending for the Brethren, who by the way, were so mean.
