Frustrated
I have read most of Patricia Cornwell's novels and love them. I even like this one, however, there are so many spelling errors (words transposed or sentences not making any sense) that I have had to put the book down. Because of these errors the reading isn't smooth. I was only able to get up to page 190. The last sentence I read was "If you don't know where it is, they'll ask you at the door when you CASH??? your coat." Perhaps they mean check. It is frustrating reading a book with so many of these errors!!!

As another had said, wish I could get my money back after buying and reading Southern Cross. What a disappointment after reading all of P. C's. Dr. Scarpetta books. Just because I bought, felt I had to read it and could not keep an interest. Don't bother would be my suggestion.

Comedic satire? I usually don't have to be told when something's funny. Southern Cross is a real turkey; bizarre, bordering on the surreal. Take a tip from me... If you like Patricia Cornwell's novels, don't read Southern Cross... you may never pick up another one.

I was glad that this book was a Xmas gift and that I didn't spend the money on it. Almost as though Cornwell is trying to branch out and appeal to a whole new readership - I think it could be someone else sharing her name - not a good book.

I have read all of Particia Cornwell's books. I thought Southern Cross was very different from her usual writings, but I loved it none the less The new characters she introduces are sarcastic at times, but it breaks up some of the grusome details she offers about this murder. It's a great read!!

Different from Scarpetta books but parts are extremely funny. Loved it!

I have read and enjoyed all of Patricia Cornwell's books. Having read only 1/2 I cannot believe it is the same author. This is a terrible book. I paid top dollar for the hardcover but wish I could return it for a credit. This is so unlike her writings. I almost hate to buy anymore of her books. Hopefully she will be able to read these comments and write like her previous books. Thank you for the opportunity.
