I am an eighteen year old girl and I often fight myself to sit down and read a book. That never happend with Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones - The Edge fo Reason. I did not know that this was a sequel, but it still was a fabulous read. The characters are well developed and Bridget's train of thought, quality of life and conception of reality are all well portrayed. Though Bridget seems like a complete cook, I felt that (not just because I'm a girl) I could connect with her reactions to uncomfortable and challenging situation that were handled flawlessly and are inspiring to any other readers' sense of dignity.
There are many lessons to be learned by Fielding's book and the underlying meanings are tremendous ... so do read it, laugh and pay attention to the morals, because you are not reading about a weak, insecure pathetic little girl who cannot take control of her feelings and actions. Bridget is (as she writes) "assured, respective, resonsive woman of substance. My sense of self comes not from other people but from meyself."

The first book was brilliant but this one was twice as good. It cheers me up even though I'm single. A huge laugh from start to finish. I hope Helen is cooking up a third one!

The Edge of Reason was even better that the first book. I can't wait for the next one.

Read this book over and over. Very funny in many chapters. Definitely better than the first one. Though it is a typical Hollywood ending, I love it. In reality, never happens.... Usually, rich marry rich, poor marry poor. It creates for those hopeless singleton, my advise: 'lower expectation for man/woman', you get yourself married sooner.... Hah, brutal truth!

The sequel is much beter then the first!
