A great book! One of my favorites! IT's just as good as The Lord Of The Rings series and the Harry Potter series. It really is a great book!

It's amazing that Pullman can write to send a message and get it sent, as thousands-- no, millions-- of writers have tried to do in the past. This book (surely it is inconcievable that the Trilogy be considered three separate books) delivers a series of distict thoughts that shoot straight for the mind, causing still more questions to flow into the reader. The questions that are asked are answered, and the very end leaves the reader crying "What now?". After reading this Trilogy, it is extremely difficult to find another book that can live up to the reader's new expectations.

I personnaly thought it was the best book i've read in the whole nine years i've been reading..... (edited to remove plot spoiler)

i'm hoping they could turn the whole dark material books into a great film even better than lord of the rings.

I would recommend the book to avid readers.

I personally didn't like it, I'm not much of a fantasy fan.

However, the plot is ok and the storyline is supportive.

The only problem is how the author defies God and his ideas and so forthe.

I'm Buddhist/Christian myself, but I wonder how other people get along with this book.

This is one of the best book I had read through out the year, however I was slightly disapointed as the plot of the book grew weaker through the Dark Material Series.I recommand this book to 20 and under.

This book was great but the wording could use a tune-up.

I found this book exicting to read. I believe that some of the poins could have been expanded on. It is an extremly thought provoking book, and I would recommened it to anyone who doesn't mind a book involving religion. My quams are, I do not like how Pullman swithced between miniture stories... and then at the end did not bring them togeether. But all in all it was a wonderful experiance reading this book.
