Very entertaining
Serial Killer Games by Kate Posey was a fun and entertaining read. It was different than anything I have read before.
The main characters were so much fun. There are lots of laughs in the story. Jake and Delores are very interesting characters. This was a fun and fast read. I highly recommend it.

Delightful Surprise
Kate Posey's first novel is a wonderfully original mystery/romance/comedy that kept me engaged and delightfully surprised until the end. In a genre that can be trite, and in which authors can get bogged down in old tropes, Posey's take is fresh and compelling. Highly recommend.

What A Surprise!
This book completely surprised me. I went in blind (as I usually do), but I obviously had some assumptions based on the cover & title. It started out in one direction and then flipped the script, but I so enjoyed it. I couldn't put it down.

Keep 'em guessing!
Thought I knew how this would go and then, slam, another way. Great twists and turns of suspense and getting to "dissect" the characters. lol. Deliciously suspenseful and entertaining. Ending is superb and unexpected. Just take the author's hand and follow the delightful journey.

Quirky, fun read
The two main characters here may have been the oddest I've come across in a while. But that was what made this a really fun read. I just had no idea what these two were going to do next! From strange workplace encounters to unusual outings to a trip to Vegas, they continually surprised me and each other. After all of the excitement, the latter
part of the story was heartwarming and sweet. Maybe a tad predictable, but by then I wanted a happy ending for these two characters that I'd been rooting for.

The Unexpected
I started this book expecting one thing and got a totally different reading experience. It started out slowly for me but once I got into it I was hooked. The story is quirky and kept me turning pages to see what was going to happen next. Dark humor and the banter and maneuvering between the characters was entertaining.

Mixed bag
While I ended up enjoying this book, the start of it felt like setup, setup, setup with no real payoff. Then halfway through, the story took a decided turn and became something else far more interesting. This was at heart a character-driven story, not a mystery as the title suggests (though there were aspects of that genre and true crime mentioned throughout). The characters were well written and deep. I loved their conversations and twisted sense of humor. Overall, I ended up liking the book, but it took a bit and it wasn't what I expected from the title and blurb.

Serial Killer Games was ultimately worth a read.
When I started this book, I wasn't too sure I would finish it. I found it difficult to figure out what was going on: was Dolly a serial killer or was Jack? Or were both serial killers, or neither? I was getting exasperated by the length of time it was taking for the story to develop.
Fortunately, I persevered. And, since I don't want to give too much away, I will say I wasn't enthusiastic about the beginning of the book, I was engaged by the middle of the book, and I loved the ending. So go ahead and add Serial Killer Games to your reading list. Be patient with it and you will be rewarded.
