Jamie Kuhns is employed by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission as the Senior Historian for Montgomery County Parks. In addition, she is completing her doctoral degree in History of American Civilization from the University of Delaware. She reviews non-fiction works, and particularly enjoys historical narratives that deal with a variety of topics including African-American studies, American material culture, Southern history, medical works, and tourism/parks.
