Steve Almond is an American short story writer and essayist. Born October 27, 1966 in Palo Alto, California, Almond attended Gunn High School and Wesleyan University. His works include the story collections My Life in Heavy Metal and The Evil B.B. Chow, the nonfiction book Candyfreak, and the novel Which Brings Me to You, co-written with Julianna Baggott.
Almond currently lives in Arlington, Massachusetts with his wife and three children.
